ICM NUNS AT STC-MANILA, QUEZON CITY, BAGUIO, CEBU
St. Theresa's College in San Marcelino, Manila founded in 1915 by the ICM Sisters, branched out to STC- Quezon City, STC- Baguio, and STC- Cebu . These schools have produced THERESIANS as proclaimed by the hymn:
- "FOR SHE STANDS AMONG THE REST...."
And the refrain goes on...
" Dearest home we stand for you,
Far or near our song rings true.
And our theme fore'er shall be
ST. THERESA'S HAIL TO THEE ( 2X ) HAIL, HAIL TO THEE!"
Indeed Theresians here and abroad have bonded again and again, for they have made a difference...they stand among the rest...they make a difference. And that is the reason, the legacy of good catholic education need not be confined only to those who can fully afford it, but in the Spirit of Vatican 2, and of Mo. Marie Louise De Meester, ICM Foundress --- extend as wide as the heart of Jesus to encompass the smallest, the least, the neglected. The social conscience makes theTheresian commit herself to justice and to support education as her contribution to society.

SEFI-A PROGRAM TO MAKE ALL ALUMNAE FROM THE DIFFERENT STC'S SHARE THE LEGACY OF QUALITY EDUCATION
Before STCMla would close , a core group of nuns, alumnae of all the STC's , faculty and parents, came up with a declared Social Orientation that would offer quality Theresian education to a booming numerous lower lower-middle class whom the ICM's wanted to tap at STCQC ,part of the social commitment to uplift society through education. This program is called SAMBAYAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. Thus was born a program that can draw in all THERESIAN ALUMNAE (from Manila, QC, Baguio, Cebu ) for their generosity and their social commitment by becoming donors. Thus they share that same quality Theresian education which they have had, to financially struggling families with children who have passed the entrance exams of STCQC. ( inasmuch as STCMla was totally phased-out in from 1975-1980 )

The ICM Sisters , ( Immaculati Cordis Mariae or Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary ) formerly called the Missionary Canonesses of St. Augustine, or commonly called the Belgian Sisters, manage the school as Directress, Religion Coordinator in each department, Treasurer, Community Involvement and SEFI programs, Cafeteria , Stationery, Alumna Office. Empowerment of the laity-faculty is implemented.
S.E.F.I. or Sambayan Educational Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1972 by the ICM Sisters - Immaculati Cordis Mariae -- the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, previously known in STC-Mla as the Belgian Nuns. Presently they still manage STC Quezon City, Cebu, & other ICM schools. The main objective of S.E.F.I. is to make quality education , THERESIAN education, more accessible to a wider social strata , those of the lower-lower-middle income group who are still financially struggling, by a 1/2 tuition fee reduction making education a chief legacy for it is lasting, even beyond the monetary contribution one has made.
In a spirit of social co-responsibility, a trust fund from which to draw the other half of the tuition fee was set up by committed sponsors. The initial capital fund was provided by the founding members which included both ICM'S, ALUMNAE OF STC-Mla & QC, FAMILY COUNCIL OFFICERS , FACULTY, & FRIENDS.
Today we need to jack up this fund with your assistance. "COME THERESIANS AND ACCLAIM, ST. THERESA'S GLORIOUS NAME....GRATEFUL HEARTS THEIR TRIBUTE BEAR,LOVING LIPS SHALL SING FOR HER..." SAYS OUR SONG.....JOIN, BECOME A DONOR!
