Feast of St. Theresa of Avila

With the theme, St. Teresa…Seeker of Truth and Beholder of Justice in the Cosmic Universe, the STC, QC Community celebrated the feast of St. Theresa of Avila, our school patroness.  The Eucharistic Celebration was presided by Fr. Monching Atanacio, OFM. Cap..

Fr. Monching enjoined all Theresians in his Homily to be faithful stewards of God’s creation.

 

 

 

Feast of Mother Marie Louise De Meester

Last October 9, 2008, the whole STC Community celebrated Mother Marie Louise De Meester’s feast with a meaningful prayer service.  The ICM Sisters were remembered and prayed for.  The activity ended with a floral offering. 

 

 

 

COASTAL CLEAN-UP

STC participated in the coastal clean-up on Sept. 13, 2008.  The activity was sponsored by DENR.  Among those who participated from STC were the teachers, school leaders and the Environmental Education SEG members.   Their participation is part of their advocacy to protect and care for Mother Earth.

 

 

 

 

LA NAVAL

The SINAG Intermediate Chorale was invited to sing during the La Naval Novena Masses held at Sto. Domingo Church last October 8, 2008.  It was a very meaningful experience for the students to share their singing skills in the service for the Lord.

 


 

GRADE SCHOOL PARENT-DAUGHTER BONDING

This school year’s theme for the Parent-Daughter Bonding of Grades 5 and 6 is Empowering the Filipino Family to be Stewards of God’s Creation.  In line with this, Ms. Flores (Grade 5 Counselor) and Ms. Banda (Grade 6 Counselor) prepared fun but meaningful activities that allowed the parents and their daughters to bond even more and make their relationships better.

 

 

 

Visitation Miriam College

Thirty- nine (39) teachers from Miriam College visited St. Theresas’s College, Grade School Department and observed Christian Living, Filipino, and Sibika at Kultura classes last October 8, 2008.   They have observed how Theresian teachers made use of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) and different teaching strategies.

 

 

 

Visitation St. Mary's College Baliuag, Bulacan

St. Mary’s College, Baliaug, Bulacan visited St. Theresa’s College, Grade School Department last October 8, 2008. They observed Christian Living and Science classes that focused on child- centered activities. During the interaction, the visitors with the teachers they observed inquired on the curricular programs and materials, teacher training program and the use of the science laboratory. It was a fruitful and meaningful exchange of learnings with the visitors.

 

 

 

INTERSCHOOL VISITATION

The Grade School and High School counselors visited St. Scholastica's College, Manila last September 29, 2008.  The interschool visitation is part of the counselors' development which is aimed at exposing the guidance staff to the various guidance services and best practices of other schools. 

 


VISITATION OF ST. SCHOLASTICA’S COLLEGE, MARIKINA

September 4, 2008


Last September 4, 2008, 13 Math and 9 CLE teachers from St. Scholastica's College, Marikina visited our school to observe classes. They observed lessons on creative and innovative teaching strategies, techniques in using differentiated activities, and how pupils are provided opportunities to express themselves and to ask questions.  They also had a tour of facilities of the Grade School Department.  An interaction with the Math, CLE teachers and administrators followed the observation.

 

 


Ballet-Manila Lecture -Demo

Ballet- Manila conducted a lecture-demonstration to the Grade School students last July 4.   The Prima Ballerina,  Lisa Macuja-Elizalde who is a Theresian ,  was the guest speaker and main performer.   

 

 

 

 

 

VISIT OF ST. PAUL, PASIG

Last August 20, 2008, TLE teachers from St. Paul’s Pasig visited the St.Theresa’s College High School Department for benchmarking.  They  had an interaction with the TLE and Computer teachers of STC.
