STCQC Celebrates the Life and Mission of Mother Marie Louise De Meester

October 9, 2025 — The Theresian community gathered in a solemn yet joyful celebration honoring Mother Marie Louise De Meester through a meaningful Prayer Service and the launching of the 2nd Semester Sub Theme - “We Are Pilgrims of Hope Living and Sharing Christ’s Love.”

The event opened with a role play presentation by Sining Teresa, depicting the inspiring life and mission of Mother Marie Louise. Her unwavering faith and selfless service continue to illuminate the path of every Theresian, calling all to become true pilgrims of hope.

The Theresian Chorale set a reverent tone with the song “Call to Mission,” followed by heartfelt prayers and readings from the Living Thoughts of Mother Marie Louise by Sr. Vicky Palanca, ICM. These reflections encouraged everyone to embody compassion, simplicity, and generosity in daily life.

A special highlight was the faith witnessing of Sr. Perla Macapinlac, ICM, whose missionary journey beautifully mirrored Mother Marie Louise’s spirit of dedication and service. The intercessory prayers offered by the members of the Young Friends of Mother Marie Louise (YFMML) united the community in gratitude and hope for the Church, the ICM Sisters, and all who continue the mission of love.

Our School Director Dr. Maria Teresa C. Bayle led a touching blessing for the ICM Sisters, expressing deep appreciation for their enduring presence and guidance in the STCQC community.

The celebration then transitioned into a joyful and vibrant launching of the 2nd Semester Sub Theme, led by Dr. Bayle together with Mrs. Estrella Evelie Alcabedas - High School Principal and Mrs. Elizabeth Mendoza - Grade School Principal. The lively performance of “Shout for Joy” filled the venue with energy and gratitude as students danced in praise.

To further embody the theme, Some High School students showcased acts of service and love through their mission project of creating hand soaps and dishwashing liquids for Gawad Kalinga, Karisma Ville, and the STCQC Maintenance community. Their symbolic turnover reflected the Theresian commitment to care, compassion, and community outreach.

In the same spirit of kindness, the Guidance Office launched the Mental Health Wellness Program, emphasizing the importance of listening, empathy, and support for one another. The celebration concluded with the uplifting “Kindness Song,” serving as a musical prayer of hope and love.

In her closing message, Dr. Bayle reminded everyone that being pilgrims of hope means walking each day with faith, courage, and generosity—living and sharing Christ’s love in all that we do.

The morning ended with renewed hearts and strengthened faith, as the STCQC community continues to walk together as pilgrims of hope, inspired by the life and legacy of Mother Marie Louise De Meester.!
