In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, the STCQC Grade School students exercise their right to vote as they elect the new officers of the Grade School Student Organization (GSSO) for SY 2026–2027. More than a school activity, the election becomes a meaningful opportunity for students to experience and understand the value of democracy at a young age.
Through the CLE online voting system, students thoughtfully select the leaders who will represent their voices and serve the Grade School community. Guided by the platforms presented during the Miting de Avance, each voter reflects on the qualities of responsibility, integrity, and service before casting their ballot.
The indelible ink marked on each student’s finger stands as a proud symbol of participation a visible reminder that they take part in shaping their school community. In this simple yet significant act, the students demonstrate that democracy is not only remembered in history, but actively practiced in everyday life.
As the community commemorates four decades since EDSA, the Grade School Student Body elections affirm that the spirit of people power continues to live on nurtured in classrooms, strengthened through informed choices, and embodied by a new generation of young leaders.
Democracy remembered. Democracy practiced. Democracy lived.
